Dragon Lights Chinese Lantern Festival debuts in Reno

The Dragon Lights Chinese lantern festival is debuting in the Biggest Little City for a five-week exhibition this summer.The lantern festival will take over the Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Garden at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park from June 30 to August 5.Dragon Lights Reno is an international touring festival of enlightening exhibitions that provide a globally-cultural experience to millions of guests around the world. 

Chinese lantern

The exhibition will feature 39 larger-than-life vibrant Chinese lanterns. Each lantern display has been handcrafted by artisans from China.
Each night there will be guided tours available at 7:30 p.m. and at sundown "Magic Hour" will occur, where each lantern will be turned on one-by-one and its history will be shared. In addition to lanterns, the event will also feature cultural entertainment. nightly performances, traditional handicrafts, food vendors, a time traveler photo booth and themed weekends.
