The history of the giant panda has a long history. The fossil panda, a member of the oldest giant panda found so far, is unearthed in Lufeng and Yuanmou, Yunnan, China, and the geological age is about 8 million years ago in the late Miocene. In the long and harsh survival competition and natural selection, many of the animals of their contemporaries have been extinct, but the giant pandas are strong, and they have become "living fossils" today.
